In this fine-art original photo, by nationally recognized photographer Jan Kaulins, of the Hawaiian Island of Maui you can see the warm rose cast coloring of the evening light on the sides of the rugged volcanic mountains with blue sky overhead. Missionaries landed on The Hawaiian Islands in the early 1800's and developed this terrain into a productive sugar cane and pineapple growing area. Unfortunately, at the same time, they attempted to radically transform the existing native culture, including their religion and even banning hula dancing. This striking fine-art picture photograph of the Hawaiian Island Maui shows an old white twin masted schooner in the foreground, anchored offshore in the bluegreen Pacific Ocean. Welcome to paradise.
