This Ford Field Detroit Lions action photo was taken during the historic Opening Day Inaugural First Game at Detroit Ford Field in which rookie quarterback Joey Harrington #3, hands in motion, launches a pass while getting excellent protection by his fellow Detroit Lions. This picture photo of the Detroit Lions first game at the opening of Detroit Ford Field on Sept. 22, 2002 marked the beginning of a new era for The Detroit Lions and for the City of Detroit. In this Detroit Lions Ford Field photo picture we see NFL football once again being played in the location where it should be played -- in downtown Detroit.
