This Belle Isle photo picture is of the 85 foot high Nancy Brown Peace Carillon Tower which sits in the center of Detroit Belle Isle Park in the middle of The Detroit River. This historic Nancy Brown Belle Isle Carillon Tower photo picture shows the structure that was 'Dedicated to Peace in Honor of Nancy Brown' in 1940. Nancy Brown was one of the first advice columnists in the United States, having launched here advice column 'Experience' in Detroit in April 1919. She worked as a columnist and journalist for The Detroit News until her retirement in 1942. In this Detroit Belle Isle photo picture we see a white swan poised in front of The Belle Isle Peace Tower as the melting snow foretells of the coming of spring on Belle Isle.
