. FORD FIELD SUPERBOWL XL picture photo print photograph - SuperBowl XL Ford Field photo art print for sale. This historic color photo of the exterior of Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, was made from an original black and white photograph that was hand-colored by artist/photographer Jan Kaulins. It is an original photo, not available anywhere else except here at The Detroit Photo Gallery.

The 40th Annual SuperBowl, SuperBowl XL, was one of the most anticipated sports events of the year. It was played at Ford Field in host city Detroit on Feb. 5, 2006 between AFC Champion Pittsburgh Steelers and The NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks. The Steelers won the contest and their famous Running Back, Jerome "The Bus" Bettis a Detroit native, after the end of the game, announced his retirement saying "I think the Bus's last stop is here in Detroit."

According to the Neilson Ratings, The Ford Field SuperBowl XL game was watched by over 90,000,000 viewers in the USA alone! This event brought excellent positive international attention to the great host city of Detroit. This historic Ford Field SuperBowl XL photo, showing the giant banner of the SuperBowl XL logo with the logos of the two competing Championship teams on the front would make a wonderful momento for any Detroit fan.

The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals.
