This artistically interpreted signed and numbered Limited Edition color Wympee Diner Hamburger joint picture photo art print was MADE FROM AN ORIGINAL BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPH THAT WAS HAND-COLORED by artist/photographer Mr. Jan Kaulins almost 20 years ago. There is a classic 1959 white Corvette set-up in front of this classic bit of white enameled architecture that harkens back to the day before contemporary fast food chains dotted the American landscape.
The Wympee Diner opened its doors at the corner of East Third St and Wayne Ave. just east of downtown Dayton, Ohio, in 1938. The Wympee Hamburger joint, coffee shop, and diner just celebrated its 70 year anniversary since opening. At that time FDR was President, the Big Depression (the first one) was going on, and America had a few years ahead of it before it entered into World War II.
