Hand-coloring the black and white original photos is a very old tradition in photography, and is rarely seen anymore. None of the work showcased here is done digitally. UGLESICHE'S RESTAURANT NEW ORLEANS photo art print photography for sale - Uglesiche's was a family owned business in Central City New Orleans at the corner of Baronne and Erato streets. It was opened in 1924 when the Yugoslavian immigrant father of the current owner, Anthony Uglesich, opened a modest fried seafood and sandwich shop. This old wooden structure became an icon for New Orleans, serving some of the finest original Nawlins cooking in the city know for its original cuisine. The dishes were built upon locally sourced seafood and lots of experimentation and a disire for uniqueness and good taste. The rest is culinary history. This is a wonderful color Uglesiche's art photo print of the building that holds many wonderful memories for locals as well as visitors to New Orleans. Uglesiche's closed its doors for business in 2005 and is dearly missed, though Anthony and Gail still are active in the New Orleans area and have published two books of their receipes and stories. This original Uglesiche's Restaurant color photo with Jax Beer signs in the windows and Uglesiche's signs on the window glass, shows the small historic wooden building that has made so many fond memories for those who live in New Orleans and to those who visit it.
