Thank you for your interest in Jan Kaulins photography. The color photo prints offered here are made from either original BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHS THAT HAVE BEEN HAND-COLORED and photographed by artist/photographer Mr. Jan Kaulins or are part of his new MULTIPLE EXPOSURE COLOR series. The newest series being offered is of old and rare 'Historical Detroit' photos that he has restored, sepia tones and prints. Jan personally
prints, processes and mats every photo in his darkroom/studio, enabling him to have
complete control over the quality of each finished photograph. Each photo is carefully examined
before it is hand signed and numbered. Occasionally a photo may have to be slightly cropped to fit inside the matt opening. All photos are printed by Jan Kaulins himself in either his traditional darkroom or in his digital 'darkroom'. The most recent series of photos added to this site are the rare old sepia toned black and white 'Historical' Detroit photos that Jan sepia tones and prints.ALL OF THE COLOR PHOTOS SHOWN ON THIS SITE ARE AVAILABLE IN JUST BLACK AND WHITE OR SEPIA TONE PRINTS. PRICE IS THE SAME AS THE COLOR PRINTS. SPECIFY WHEN ORDERING. OTHERWISE PRINTS WILL BE SENT AS SEEN ON THIS WEBSITE. The "SIZE OF EDITION" shown on the price chart below refers to how many TOTAL photo prints will ever be printed and sold in that size, and once that total number are all individually sold, the LIMITED EDITION is 'sold out' and will no longer be available. The price is NOT for the entire Limited Edition series, but for ONE of the photos in that series.
AGAIN JUST TO CLARIFY--THE RETAIL PRICE SHOWN BELOW IS THE COST OF ONE INDIVIDUAL PHOTOGRAPH in that Limited Edition series. For example, the price for ONE 5"x7" photo in 8"x10" matt is $20. The price for ONE 11"x14" photo in an 16"x20" matt is $95. The price for ONE 16"x20" photo in a 20"x24" matt is $175 etc. The 'framed price', of course, is also for ONE photo in that size. That's why it says that the price is for 'EACH' individual photo, not for the entire Limited Edition series. NOTE: WHEN ORDERING TYPE IN THE PHOTO ORDER NUMBER SHOWN JUST BENEATH THE TITLE OF THE PHOTO IN THE 'FRAMED AND MATTED' SAMPLE.
