This original Jackson Square New Orleans French Quarter art photo is of a mime, The Bead Man, who stands perfectly still for extended lengths of time. Passers by aren't sure if it is a statue made of bronze at which they peer or a person standing so motionless that they appear to be made of stone. His big cup, full of a pile of ones and fives and and lots of change, sits near his feet on the cement in front of him.
This New Orleans French Quarter mime picture photo of 'The Bead Man' was taken on Jackson Square in The French Quarter of The City of New Orleans. Behind the mime, in the New Orleans French Quarter, The Vieux Carre, picture photo Art Gallery photo, we can see the peaks of St. Louis Cathedral, the country's oldest active cathedral. Also in this New Orleans photo, if we look behind 'The White Gloves Bead Man', we see an artist set up near the outside wall of famous New Orleans French Quarters Jackson Square drawing portraits of passers by. Just out of the picture, next to the painter is a lady in black--she reads The Tarot Cards. This New Orleans mime Limited Edition photo shows a hint of the feelings of Voodoo and mysticism that permeate the City of New Orleans and the Vieux Carre. The New Orleans French Quarter, where our motionless mime poses, is one of the oldest neighborhoods in America. It was founded in 1718.
