Clover Grill Uneeda Biscuit New Orleans photo art
by Jan Kaulins
CLOVER GRILL New Orleans photo and UNEEDA BISCUIT New Orleans picture photo - NEW ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER photo picture art photograph - New Orleans French Quarter Uneeda Biscuit Bourbon Street photo picture art photograph print - New Orleans Bourbon Street photography art print for sale: This New Orleans French Quarter color picture photograph of the historic old Five Cents Uneeda Biscuit sign and the infamous 'open all night' Clover Grill was made from an original black and white photo that was hand colored by nationally recognized artist and photographer Jan Kaulins. This New Orleans French Quarter Uneeda Biscuit art photo shows the corner of Bourbon Street and Dumaine Street, on which is located the 24 hour diner well known to late night locals as well as Mardi Gras revelers as The New Orleans Clover Grill. The New Orleans Clover Grill has been serving food in The French Quarter since about 1939. On the New Orleans French Quarter Clover Grill menu is their culinary motto -- "We love to fry, and it shows." Also, on the New Orleans Clover Grill menu are written some of their other diner philosophies, such as "we don't eat in your bed, so please don't sleep at our tables."
We can also see in this New Orleans French Quarter picture photo that just a few feet down the street from The Clover Grill is the remnant of the old Five Cents Uneeda Biscuit sign which graces the side of one of the old Vieux Carre neighborhood buildings. The Uneeda Biscuit Company, founded in 1898, was a division of the famous New Orleans Nabsico Baking Company and The National Biscuit Company, later simply known as Nabisco Foods. In this historic Uneeda Biscuit New Orleans photo we also see a pair of classic small New Orleans French Quarter private residences with closed wooden shutters.
This unique New Orleans Bourbon Street picture photo of The Clover Grill and Uneeda Biscuit sign reflect the picturesque old world charm of the French Quarter in The City of New Orleans. (THE NEW ORLEANS PHOTOGRAPH GALLERY AND NEW ORLEANS PICTURE PHOTO ART GALLERY)
