The Natchez - New Orleans picture photograph
by Jan Kaulins
THE NATCHEZ RIVERBOAT New Orleans photo picture - New Orleans Natchez Steamboat photograph fine art print: This New Orleans color picture photograph of The Steamboat Natchez is made from an original black and white photograph that has been hand colored by nationally recognized artist and photographer Jan Kaulins. The Natchez predecessor was The Natchez VI, that raced the Robert E. Lee in the most famous steamboat race of all time. Even today the Natchez is the proud undisputed champion of the Mississippi, never having been beaten in a race.
This New Orleans photograph of The Steamboat Natchez shows her on The Mississippi River coming in toward port near the historic New Orleans French Quarter. We see in this New Orleans photo the many flags of the Natchez waving in the wind, and behind her, in this picture photograph is the steel bridge that spans the mighty Mississippi River. The storm clouds overhead are beginning to clear. Riverboats and Steamboats have always played a major role in the history of this famous port, The City of New Orleans. | The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals. |
