Detroit Streetcar Old Vernors Plant picture photo

DETROIT STREETCAR photo picture & OLD VERNOR'S GINGER ALE PLANT BLDG picture photo art print for sale: This old Detroit Streetcar photo is of the Woodward Streetcar #282 heading for The Fairgrounds up Woodward Ave. in downtown Detroit ca. 1940's. Directly behind the Detroit Streetcar Trolley you can see the old Vernor's Ginger Ale factory plant building in this historic old Detroit photo. Pictured on the wall of old Detroit Vernor's plant just above the front Detroit streetcar doors you can see The Vernor's Ginger Ale Gnome sitting on a barrell of Ginger Ale on the side of the building between the two large windows. You can see the words "Woodward" and "Fairgrounds" clearly above the windshield at the front of the streetcar. Behind the streetcar are a couple of vintage cars from the 1940's parked next to The White Tower 5 Cent Hamburger joint that sat for many years near the foot of Woodward in Downtown Detroit. The Vernor's Ginger Ale Factory, The Detroit White Tower Hamburger stand and the Detroit Streetcars are all gone now. This is a wonderful historical photo from around the 1940's of three very iconic items of Detroit history. This rare color historical black and white photo has been HAND-COLORED by artist/photographer Jan Kaulins, a technique quite popular during the 1940's.
