GUARDIAN BUILDING DETROIT art photo picture
by Jan Kaulins
THE GUARDIAN BUILDING photo picture - Detroit Guardian Building picture photo photograph art print: This Detroit Guardian Building photo shows the beautiful Art-Deco Detroit skyscraper as viewed from another Art-Deco Detroit skyscraper landmark, The Penobscot Building. The Detroit Guardian Building is profusely ornamented inside and out with geometric designs executed in brilliantly colored terra cotta and glazed tile. The 36 story tall Guarding Building was built in 1928, at the beginning of the historic Art-Deco era. It is located in downtown Detroit, Michigan at the corner of Griswold and Larned Streets. To the left of the Guardian Building we also see the architecturally unique more recent Comerica Tower as a contrast in form and design. (DETROIT PHOTO GALLERY and DETROIT PHOTO ART GALLERY)

| The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals. |
