The original Cafe Du Monde Coffee Stand was established in the New Orleans French Market in 1862. In this Cafe Du Monde New Orleans picture photo you can see the outdoor Cafe Du Monde beneath the awning at the South end of the historic New Orleans French Market. It is filled with patrons awaiting the famous Cafe Du Monde Chicory blended Coffee and to sip with a plate of the ever inviting world famous Cafe Du Monde Beignets. Beignets are the square French style doughnuts lavishly covered with powdered sugar for which the Cafe Du Monde is noted.
