OLD MAIN WSU picture photo art print photography for sale. OLD MAIN Wayne State University photo picture art print photograph for sale. This color Wayne State Detroit Old Main Building photo was made from an original black and white photo that was hand colored and photographed by Jan Kaulins. Old Main is an icon for Wayne State University and, despite all of the new modern buildings on the WSU campus, it remains the quintessential WSU building. It was built in 1896 as Central Detroit High School. Later it became a Jr. College and eventually the University that it is now. This original Old Main photo was taken from the NorthEast corner of the building.
